Why does this matter? Well, it goes to show the very heart of the problem with what is called Churchianity today. Churchianity is where a person goes to a building where it is believed that a pastor is administrating the things of God in the building where God is. The Ecclesia, on the other hand, is the gathering together of God’s people, regardless of where that may be. In fact, in the early believers an in a lot of persecuted countries, meet in each other’s homes, where they do not even consider it to be a building where God dwells. The criteria in the Bible for the church is where two or three are gathered together in Yahshua’s name, there He is in their midst. This could be potentially anywhere. What the gathering should be like is the discussion for another day, but one good place to start is 1 Corinthians 14.
